This Media and Cultural Studies (Research) MPhil course offers a collaborative environment in which to undertake research at doctoral level. You can benefit from the School’s research expertise spanning film, media and cultural theory; media ethics; technological change; digital cultures and media; documentary film and television; and photography, design and digital media practice. Regular research seminars, such as the media research and the 21st Century Research Group seminars, provide the chance to advance your understanding and skills. As a researcher in the School, you can engage in a structured programme of training which provides the opportunity to develop the practical and critical skills necessary for your study. An experienced supervisory team can offer support and guidance on your research, funding opportunities, attending conferences and publishing your work in recognised journals. Career and Personal Development: Graduates may progress their careers in roles in the media and creative industries. A postgraduate research degree can be an important foundation for a career in academia or research.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Prospective students require one of the following qualifications: A Chinese degree from a recognised institution with a minimum average grade of 70% (GPA 2.5), some programmes may require 80% or a GPA 3.0; Successful completion of a UK Bachelor degree with a minimum grade of 2:2. Students need to have an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in each band score). Some courses require a higher IELTS score.
