專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ The BA (Hons) Geography Degree at Lincoln explores social science perspectives on issues of sustainability from local to global scales. It encourages students to develop the analytical, critical and collaborative skills needed to work across broad interdisciplinary issues. Geography is an integrative subject that aims to provide the intellectual tools necessary to understand the relationship between human society and its environment, and the issues that challenge our future. This course is designed to develop subject understanding and geographical skills progressively in the context of real-world problems, enabling students to apply their learning to contemporary global challenges. With Lincoln’s unique focus on the ‘safety and health of the inhabited Earth’, our mission is to deliver a degree that is relevant to the global, environmental and societal challenges for the 21st century. Our academics are experienced researchers investigating key and emerging issues in global development across a spectrum of human geography, in collaboration with academics in other disciplines, including physical geography. Students will engage in research and project work that builds on the expertise of staff.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Prospective students require one of the following qualifications for entry into year one of an undergraduate degree: Successful completion of a Foundation programme with a minimum of 50% plus an average of 70% or above in High School. Some programmes may require a higher foundation score e.g. 60%; Successful completion of the first year of a Chinese degree / Diploma with an average grade of 70% or above. Students who have successfully completed a HND BTEC or SQA qualification may be accepted directly into year two or three of a University of Lincoln undergraduate course on a case by case basis. Students who have successfully completed the second or third year of a Chinese Degree or Diploma may be considered for direct entry into year two or three of a University of Lincoln undergraduate course on a case by case basis. Depending on your academic background and intended course of study, it may be possible to apply for advanced entry into year 2 or 3 of a University of Lincoln undergraduate course. Students need to have an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in each band score). Some courses require a higher IELTS score.
