Overview
Develop specialist knowledge and advanced practical skills in management, and study a breadth of topics designed to give you a competitive edge in the tourism and event industries.
Designed with input from our network of employers, our MSc is based upon a firm foundation of research-led teaching, blended learning methods and expertise-driven insight. It will provide you with the opportunity to gain both comprehensive conceptual knowledge and an indispensable practical understanding of key areas within tourism and events.
The MSc Tourism and Event Management programme offered at Canterbury Christ Church University is established upon a firm foundation of research-led teaching, innovative and blended learning methods, expertise-driven insights, as well as a clear commitment to guiding and supporting student and employability development at the postgraduate level.
The MSc aims to provide you with the opportunity to gain both comprehensive conceptual knowledge and an indispensable practical understanding of the key subject areas identified in this programme.
It also provides a rounded study of the principles of management and is designed to have immediate relevance and application in the current market, whilst also providing potential for future progression in both study and career.

For programmes requiring a 2:2: A minimum final grade of 70% or equivalent; A minimum final grade of 65% or equivalent from one of the 211 universities. For postgraduate entry all applicants will need a minimum of IELTS 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in writing and no less than 5.5 in all other bands or equivalent.
