在這里學(xué)什么？ The International Foundation Year (IFY) is designed for students whose first language is not English. The IFY will prepare you for both your English language level for entry and also for content knowledge you will need to begin the BA/BSc course. Once you have successfully completed the IFY, you are guaranteed a place onto the first year of your chosen undergraduate degree course at the University.Study Law with us and join a challenging, vibrant and friendly community, led by an experienced team of academics, practitioners, solicitors, barristers and international lawyers. Your Qualifying Law degree will enable you to progress to the vocational stage of lawyer’s training, to qualify as either a solicitor or barrister. This original and innovative course has been designed in consultation with senior managers to give you both a theoretical and practical experience. We are one of only a few universities across the country which offers a dual qualification: an LLB and Membership of the National Association of Licensed Paralegals (provided you choose specific module options), which means you graduate with a GradNALP in addition to your LLB enjoying Paralegal status. As part of your degree, you will have the option to get involved with practical justice including opportunities to shadow a local judge and experience live mediations from our in-house Medication Clinic. Through our strong links with the local community, Citizens Advice, and local courts, you will have the opportunity to act as a Community Legal Companion for unrepresented parties at court. This is an excellent opportunity for you to gain hands-on work experience in a legal setting.In the foundation year, you will explore areas including Introduction to Law, Contemporary Issues in Law and Contemporary Issues in Business. On successful completion of the foundation year, you will join Year 1 of the LLB (Hons) Law degree. The modules you will study during the LLB (Hons) Law degree will include: Public Law, Law of Obligations and Criminal Law English Legal System and Law in Society Employment, Medical Law, Intellectual Property and Internet Law.
