The purpose of the LPC is to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to enable you to enter your training contract with confidence and to feel at home in the exciting, demanding and rewarding world of legal practice.
Course details
We begin with an induction course to introduce you to the ethos of the LPC and concepts you’ll encounter throughout the programme. You’ll learn about professional conduct, IT and practical legal research.
To gain the LPC you must complete Semester 1 and Semester 2. The SRA requires all Semester 1 subjects to be taken at the same provider.
Careers
Completion of the LPC is a Solicitor Regulation Authority (SRA) requirement for anyone wishing to become a solicitor.
The BU LPC will give you a high level of interaction with professionally qualified staff in a realistic practice context. You will also have the opportunity to network with trainee solicitors and more senior members of the profession through our links with local firms, law societies, the Junior Lawyers Division and other bodies.
On completion of this course, you will be eligible to apply for the LLM Legal Practice course, which is designed to further enhance your skills and knowledge base.

為來自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Students need to have a Bachelor's (Honours) degree from a recognised Chinese university, normally from a four-year undergraduate programme, or a Bachelors degree from Higher Education Self-Study Examinations, or a Top-up degree or university-recognised Pre-Master’s Foundation programme.
