Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences program will demonstrate:
- A broad knowledge of pharmaceutical and related sciences;
- An understanding of drug discovery, development, and commercialization;
- Effective written and oral communication skills;
- An ability to integrate and apply knowledge to solve problems; and
- Ethical and socially responsible conduct.
The learning outcomes for the B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences program are very similar to the non-clinical learning outcomes for the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program, especially in the areas of communication, problem-solving and responsible conduct.
Graduation Requirements
The B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences is granted to students upon fulfillment of the following:
- Completion of 120 credit hours of course work of the prescribed curriculum.
- Completion of the University of New Mexico Core Curriculum.
- Completion of at least 42 credit hours of upper-division course work. Such courses are numbered 300 or above.
- Compliance with the minimum residence requirements
- Maintenance of an overall minimum grade point average of 2.00.

為來自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Secondary Education: Completion of the equivalent of an American upper secondary school education (approximately twelve years of formal education beginning at age six) and have the appropriate diplomas or satisfactory results on leaving examinations (if completed). Academic Preparation: Strong academic preparation or a U.S. equivalent grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (for freshman applicants) or 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (for transfer students with the equivalent of 24 college credit hours). TOEFL (internet-based) 68, TOEFL (paper-based) 520, IELTS 6.0, Pearson Test of English 47.
