Whether you dream of reading Homer and Vergil in the original or want to understand how ancient Greece and Rome continue to exert a powerful influence upon contemporary culture, Classical Studies offers a comprehensive program of classical languages, cultures and traditions with several options to choose from.
The major in Classical Studies has two concentrations: students who wish to engage in a variety of approaches and disciplines (such as History, Art History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies) choose the Civilization Concentration, while students whose main focus is to read classical works in the original Greek and Latin choose the Language Concentration.
There are also minors in Classical Studies, Greek, and Latin.

A general program that focuses on the literary culture of the ancient Graeco-Roman world and the Greek and Latin languages and literatures and their development prior to the fall of the Roman Empire.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Secondary Education: Completion of the equivalent of an American upper secondary school education (approximately twelve years of formal education beginning at age six) and have the appropriate diplomas or satisfactory results on leaving examinations (if completed). Academic Preparation: Strong academic preparation or a U.S. equivalent grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (for freshman applicants) or 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (for transfer students with the equivalent of 24 college credit hours). TOEFL (internet-based) 68, TOEFL (paper-based) 520, IELTS 6.0, Pearson Test of English 47.
