Our MA in Social Pedagogy Leadership is the first course of its kind in the UK, building on the growing interest in social pedagogy, which takes a holistic approach to a person’s learning, growth and wellbeing.
This course is perfect for current practitioners in areas such as youth work, social justice, social work, early years, community work, social care and leadership positions. You’ll learn how to bring out the best in the people you work with and help them to achieve their potential.
Due to current government agenda and policy, there is continued change within the arena of social care and social work, with a view to transforming the workforce in both children and adult services. The ability of managers to support change and development while delivering the highest standards of care has never been more important.
Social pedagogical leadership will enable you to galvanise your employees’ motivation and commitment to a deeper purpose, as well as recognising them as human beings rather than merely a brain or a pair of hands. Throughout this course you’ll gain a comprehensive knowledge of the theory and philosophy behind social pedagogy and learn how to apply it to leadership roles working with children, young people and adults.
