This Master’s in Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent) is ideal if you’re a dental professional who’s looking to gain advanced skills in implant treatment.
On this course you’ll undertake authentic clinical training and education, delivered both online and face-to-face, preparing you to provide safe and appropriate treatment as part of your clinical practice. The main focus is on patient management and the delivery of appropriate, evidence-based clinical care. There are supporting modules on critical appraisal, research strategies and clinical audit.

As a student on this course you will have access to excellent online materials to guide and support your learning.
During this two-year course you’ll attend teaching sessions based within the University’s School of Dentistry. To support the course content, you’ll have access to excellent online materials to guide and support your learning. These will include lecture notes, videos of lectures and details of upcoming assignments, so you’ll be able to prepare yourself for your study days on campus as well as carrying out additional independent work from home.
Work during the early part of the course will consist of lectures and practical sessions in our state-of-the-art phantom head facility, as well as work on pig’s head and similar training resources. As you move through the course, you’ll progress to working on real patients under close expert supervision at the University’s Dental Clinic.
