在這里學(xué)什么？ **Course overview**Delivered over just two years, our BSc (Hons) Medical Sciences accelerated programme provides a unique opportunity for you to gain a scientific degree which is embedded within a clinically-focused curriculum. This degree programme will prepare you for further study on professional programmes such as graduate entry Medicine, Dentistry or Physician Associate Studies or Pharmacy, master’s or PhD studies. Taught at our Burnley Campus, it will create opportunities for you to competitively apply for careers in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries or academia. Staff from both scientific and clinical fields will guide you through your journey, developing key transferable skills and enhancing your understanding of the healthcare industry in order to prepare you as a highly competitive candidate for a range of career options.**Why study with us**- Our School of Medicine is ranked as the Top Medical School in North West England (The Guardian University Guide 2021)- Enjoy the benefits of an accelerated two year degree including financial savings, increased concentration of study and enter professional employment earlier.- This unique course focuses on both academic achievement and the development of strong student personal profiles, alongside training in clinical and communication skills. **Further information**- Enjoy access to state-of-the-art facilities such as specialised human anatomy resource centres using much of the same equipment as medicine students.- Extra-curricular voluntary placement opportunities facilitated by clinical staff. - Taught in small, culturally diverse groups promoting integration, cultural exchange and personal development.**Upon completion of Year One you can apply to**5-year UCLan Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) if you satisfy the following criteria:- Expected to achieve a grade of 70% or above on Year 1 of the programme- Will have met or expected to meet all other stated entry requirements for the MBBS- Having satisfied these criteria you will be guaranteed an interview and thereafter complete the same highly competitive admissions’ process as all the MBBS applicants. - Please note that completion of the programme does not guarantee an automatic progression to either course.4-year UCLan integrated Masters in Physician Associate Studies if you satisfy the following criteria:- Expected to achieve a grade of 60% or above on Year 1 of the programme- Will have met or expected to meet all other stated entry requirements for the programme4-year UCLan MPharm if you satisfy the following criteria:- Expected to achieve a grade of 65% or above with 70% in Chemistry and Biology Modules on Year 1 of the programme- Will have met or expected to meet all other stated entry requirements for the programme3-year UCLan BSc. Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy if you satisfy the following criteria:- Expected to achieve a grade of 65% or above on Year 1 of the programme- Will have met or expected to meet all other stated entry requirements for the programme3-year UCLan BSc. Biomedical Sciences if you satisfy the following criteria:- Expected to achieve a grade of 60% or above on Year 1 of the programme- Will have met or expected to meet all other stated entry requirements for the programme
