在這里學(xué)什么？ **Course overview**- Spent your life taking things apart to see how they work? Our Mechanical Engineering Foundation Entry degree course teaches you to design objects and systems with motion.- Foundation Entry degree courses are designed for students who have the ability to study for a degree, but don’t have the necessary formal qualifications to directly enter their chosen Honours degree programme.- Mechanical engineers use their knowledge of fundamental engineering principles like mechanics, materials, thermo-fluids and computer-aided design to analyse and design objects and systems with motion.- This degree combines the fundamentals of traditional engineering courses with our long experience of providing a rounded education to graduates. This ensures you’re prepared to work in a range of industrial sectors. You’ll also develop skills in user needs and business planning.**Why study with us**- Engineering at the University is ranked in the UK's top 20 (The Complete University Guide 2020).- There’s an optional placement route to spend a year in industry between Year 2 and Year 3.- Benefit from the latest high-quality equipment available in our new ￡35m Engineering Innovation Centre.**Further information**The 48-week placement with a company is assessed by portfolio and contributes to the course outcomes. You’re responsible for identifying and winning the placement, but the University supports this via links to industry and through the provision of training in application and interview skills.
