在這里學(xué)什么？ **Course Overview**- Combine your interest in solving crimes with computing on our fascinating Forensic Computing and Security Foundation Entry course. You’ll be detecting, preserving and presenting evidence from digital devices.- The skills you’ll gain can lead to careers in digital forensic analysis, systems management or computer security.- You’ll develop an understanding of hardware, operating systems and communications software. You’ll also acquire attention to detail, creative problem-solving and investigative skills. And an appreciation of computer threats, counter-measures and relevant legal issues.- Foundation Entry degree courses are ideal if you’ve got the ability to study for a degree, but don’t have the necessary formal qualifications to directly join an honours programme.**Why study with us**- You’ll acquire a high level of technical expertise, an understanding of computer-related crime and a methodical approach to investigation.- We use specialist software used by the Police and other forensic investigators including investigative and multi-processor, password cracking software.- Our laboratories allow you to use specialist software and do things that wouldn’t be allowed on a public network (like configuring networks, exploring computer viruses or testing system security).**Further Information**- In your first year, you’ll develop practical skills in software design and development, computer technology and a range of modern applications, and in managing small computer systems. And you’ll practise communication skills needed by forensic analysts.- The common first year enhances your general computing knowledge and gives you the experience to ensure you have chosen the specialist course most suited to you. You could transfer to courses like Computer Networks and Security, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
