在這里學(xué)什么? **Course Overview**- On our Deaf Studies and Foundation Entry programme, you’ll combine theory and practice to help the educational inclusion of Deaf learners.- Foundation Entry degree courses are ideal if you’ve got the ability to study for a degree, but don’t have the necessary formal qualifications to directly join an honours programme. It’s a great stepping stone to a full degree.- Our course combines Deaf Studies modules with education modules. You’ll cover the history, education, culture, community and language of Deaf people, alongside education modules – the theories of learning, diversity and inclusion, and vulnerable learners in the education system.- You’ll also study British Sign Language. The vibrant Deaf community in the area means that you’ll have ample opportunities to practise your language skills with native language users.**Why study with us**- It’s estimated that more than 60% of British Sign Language English interpreters working in the UK have been taught on our courses.- This course is an ideal subject combination if you’re looking to work in the field of educational support and inclusion.- You’ll have the opportunity to undertake a placement in an educational setting at each stage of your programme.**Further Information**- On this course you’ll benefit from our Centre for Volunteering and Community Leadership (CVCL) which enables you to get involved in projects which make a positive difference to people’s lives. They offer a range of volunteering projects in the UK and Internationally so you’re bound to find something that inspires you.
