在這里學(xué)什么？ **Course Overview**- Our cutting-edge Architecture Foundation Entry degree teaches you all the architectural theory you’ll need, paired with conservation, sustainability and environmental issues.- Foundation Entry degree courses are ideal if you’ve got the ability to study for a degree, but don’t have the necessary formal qualifications to directly join an honours programme. It’s entirely unique, and a great stepping stone to degree study.- You’ll learn a comprehensive grounding in design, theory, history and building technology. At the same time, we’ll embrace any environmental challenges such as low-carbon approaches, to meet the needs of society.- You’ll get the opportunity to compare and contrast Lancastrian architecture and urban form with national and international examples on our overseas visits.Why study with us- You’ll enjoy a ‘boutique’ educational experience – you will have your own desk, drawing board and storage within expansive studios.- Our programme is validated by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Architects Registration Board (ARB).- Architecture is ranked 7th in the UK with 88% of students satisfied with the teaching quality (Times Good University Guide 2021)**Further Information**Location context:- Post-industrialisation, suburban expansion, the relationship between countryside and town, digital media and emerging technologies are amongst the plethora of issues relevant to Preston and the North West.- Our strategic position within the heart of the UK allows us to explore these themes through an engagement with other urban centres and inspiring contexts within the UK; from London to Glasgow.
