Overview
The Master of Science in Nursing in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program prepares registered nurses to provide advanced care for adolescents, older adults and the frail elderly with acute, short-term illness; exacerbated chronic illness; or terminal disease. Our program offers hands-on training and flexible scheduling.
Career
Graduates of this specialty meet educational requirements to take exams for national certification. Certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (AG ACNPs) provide services ranging from disease prevention to critical care to stabilize a patient’s condition, prevent complications, restore health or offer palliative care. AG ACNPs also coordinate comprehensive care in and across health care settings to ensure patients’ needs are met during care transitions. Many AG ACNPs work in hospitals, ambulatory care facilities or short-term stay settings.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants must have: An active and unrestricted RN license; Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree conferred from a regionally and ACEN (formerly NLNAC) or CCNE accredited institution; Completion of an undergraduate statistics course with a grade of “C” or better; A minimum of one year of RN experience (preferably in labor and delivery).
