The Master of Arts in Art Education is a boldly designed Master’s degree in creative thought and action in the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP). The Master of Arts in Art Education prepares today’s teachers and future educators to address ongoing social change.
Our mission is to educate artists, designers, architects, and creative practitioners to teach visual arts and design in diverse settings that include public and private schools (kindergarten through university-level), museums, community programs, corporate settings, hospitals, long-term care facilities and rehabilitation centers. Professionally trained creative educators can facilitate transformative experiences for all learners, activating connections between art & design in the everyday and harnessing the power of imagination to address current issues.
Notable features of the Master of Arts in Art Education program include:

Career
Master of Arts in Art Education graduates will emerge from the program as versatile, creative practitioners with the capacity to transform society as drivers and leaders of change (political, social, economic, and technological). Career opportunities include: teaching in public and private schools (PreK-12 - University); teaching in after-school art and design outreach programs; engaging in short- and long-term artist educator residencies; teaching in museums and community centers; leading community engagement and activism projects; teaching the use of cutting edge creative technology; overseeing community maker/hacker spaces as pedagogical and technological leaders; establishing creative community centers to engage in educational projects (e.g. Elements, Leaves of Learning, Hive 13, etc.); teaching in creative healthcare and aging centers; conduct creative curriculum design for organizations and business; designing websites and online programs; developing and implementing public art projects and many others.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants must have: An active and unrestricted RN license; Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree conferred from a regionally and ACEN (formerly NLNAC) or CCNE accredited institution; Completion of an undergraduate statistics course with a grade of “C” or better; A minimum of one year of RN experience (preferably in labor and delivery).
