Business Analytics is a rapidly expanding business discipline, enabled by explosive growth in data, computing power and software availability. Analytics can be defined as the scientific process of transforming data into insights, and ultimately into better decisions. Graduates from UC's Carl H. Lindner College of Business with a bachelor of science degree in business analytics are well-equipped to apply descriptive, predictive and prescriptive models to data in order to help organizations better analyze data and make better operational and strategic decisions.
Success
Business analytics students are individuals with strong technical and quantitive abilities who have a natural curiosity for investigating how data can be used to generate insights and improve decisions. Successful professionals in business analytics can communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to help frame important questions, determine what data are needed, apply appropriate analytics models, and then translate the output of those models to positively impact organizations and society. Other attributes of successful graduates include: Quantitative proficiency, Ability to use computer programming languages, Inquisitive nature to ask questions and seek answers, Ability to translate ill-formed questions into structured problem-solving methodologies, Attention to detail, Excellent oral and written communication capabilities, Leadership skills, Capacity for teamwork.

UC Lindner College of Business graduates with a degree in business analytics fulfill a critical need for companies across all industries. Likely job roles filled by graduates include positions as data analysts, risk analysts, data scientists, management scientists, and management consultants, as well as roles associated with specific functional areas such as marketing analytics, healthcare analytics, supply-chain analytics, sports analytics, and others.
Some graduates may also choose to extend their education in business analytics by continuing on to earn a Master of Science in Business Analytics degree from the Carl H. Lindner College of Business. These students will expand the depth of their knowledge in analytics as well as be exposed to additional tools and methodologies for implementing business analytics.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Student need to have: Graduation from an accredited high school of preparatory school; Successful completion of 16 units of college-preparatory subjects: English (4 units); biology and chemistry (2 units); college-prep mathematics (3 units); social sciences (2 units) fine arts (1 unit); additional college preparatory subjects (4 units). Recommended: foreign language, anatomy and physiology or a third unit in social science with a grade of C or better in all required courses; Recommended minimum high school GPA of 3.0; Completed application and official high school or preparatory school transcripts.
