Overview
Few schools can match the quality of CCM’s Piano Department. An all-Steinway institution, CCM offers piano students access to more than 170 pianos (one of the world’s largest collections of new Steinways) a prestigious faculty of artist-teachers and opportunities to learn from and perform with esteemed musicians in world-class facilities.
The performance-based curriculum includes weekly private lessons with faculty mentors, chamber music study and many opportunities to gain hands-on experience. Students become familiar with a range of repertoire by rehearsing and performing with multiple ensembles and presenting at least one solo recital.
In addition to unparalleled performance opportunities, BM Piano students complete an intensive study of classical music literature and music theory and work closely with their faculty mentors, gaining the aptitude and experience to perform professionally. Our faculty of eminent artist-teachers offer students one-on-one attention and opportunities to perform in the tri-state region and around the world.
Students graduating from our program will be prepared for careers in solo performance, chamber music, private teaching and solo performance. Graduates often continue on to advanced study. Our graduates have won awards in prestigious competitions including the Naumburg, the National Chopin and the William Kapell.
CCM is a college within the University of Cincinnati, a major undergraduate university and graduate research institution of more than 40,000 students. The synergy created by housing CCM within a comprehensive public university gives the college its unique character and defines its objective: to educate and inspire the whole artist and scholar for positions on the world’s stage.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Student need to have: Graduation from an accredited high school of preparatory school; Successful completion of 16 units of college-preparatory subjects: English (4 units); biology and chemistry (2 units); college-prep mathematics (3 units); social sciences (2 units) fine arts (1 unit); additional college preparatory subjects (4 units). Recommended: foreign language, anatomy and physiology or a third unit in social science with a grade of C or better in all required courses; Recommended minimum high school GPA of 3.0; Completed application and official high school or preparatory school transcripts.
