Overview
CCM’s Bachelor of Music in Organ offers students rigorous academic and performance challenges along with access to seven pipe organs on campus and many of the finest instruments in the tri-state region. Prestigious faculty, performance opportunities and location in one of the country’s premier cities for the arts make this program the perfect choice for organists looking to maximize their talents and gain an incomparable musical and academic education.
BM Organ students will develop technical expertise and musicianship skills and become familiar with a range of repertoire and performance practices. Students complete an intensive study of classical music literature and music theory and work closely with their faculty mentors, gaining the aptitude and experience to perform professionally. Our faculty of eminent artist-teachers offer students one-on-one attention and opportunities to perform in the tri-state region and around the world.
With our focus on both traditional repertoire and modern experimental music, organ students prepare for careers in church music, private teaching and performance. Graduates of the program often continue on to advanced study.
CCM is a college within the University of Cincinnati, a major undergraduate university and graduate research institution of more than 40,000 students. 為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Student need to have: Graduation from an accredited high school of preparatory school; Successful completion of 16 units of college-preparatory subjects: English (4 units); biology and chemistry (2 units); college-prep mathematics (3 units); social sciences (2 units) fine arts (1 unit); additional college preparatory subjects (4 units). Recommended: foreign language, anatomy and physiology or a third unit in social science with a grade of C or better in all required courses; Recommended minimum high school GPA of 3.0; Completed application and official high school or preparatory school transcripts.
