在這里學(xué)什么？ BSc(Hons) Mathematics with Qualified Teacher Status gives you a strong mathematics background and diverse work-based learning. We have been ranked 21st nationally for Mathematics in The Guardian University League Tables 2018.Discover the key skills needed in the modern teaching environment. Explore the work of the principal theorists in mathematical education and gain valuable work-based learning experience, where you will apply the theory in practice.Study in our Mathematics Resource Centre, a dedicated space for mathematics and statistics students. Practice in our mock classrooms and make use of specialist software.School-based placements are a compulsory element of the course. You’ll need to spend 120 days on placement, spread over your second and final year, to achieve Qualified Teacher Status. A process of self-assessment and monitoring by specialist mathematics education academics ensures that you have a secure mathematical and pedagogical understanding of the Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level curriculums.After three years, you’ll graduate with Qualified Teacher Status and you’ll be ready to begin your teaching career in secondary education. You’ll be a strong candidate for employment opportunities in secondary education and fields such as data analysis, finance and business.
