In this case, your programme will be made up of a combination of modules from both Mathematics and Psychology.Psychology is a large and varied discipline concerned with the systematic investigation of mind and behaviour. Many aspects of contemporary psychologicaltheory are based on analysis of complex datasets. Studying mathematics alongside psychology enables students to develop highly sophisticated and sought after data analytic skills with a clear applied orientation.Tutors from both disciplines provide a friendly and supportive environment for students. Early Mathematics content involves core material in calculus and algebra. Later you can tailor your course according to your own strengths or interests; for instance, specialising in pure or applied mathematics, or exploring probability and modelling, which are particularly relevant to psychology. The programme makes the transition from A Level to University Mathematics as smooth as possible with a carefully designed first year curriculum and multi-layered student support structure.The Psychology content of this course challenges you with exciting ideas and findings from across the Psychology curriculum including social and developmental psychology, cognitive and biological psychology and research methods. In your final year you will carry out a psychology research project on a topic of your own choosing under expert guidance. Whether studying the psychological impact of pain, the detrimental effects of school bullying or the negotiation of power and authority in interaction, you’ll benefit from our supportive environment and fantastic lab facilities.The Psychology modules on this course are accredited by the British Psychological Society, a necessary first step for many professional careers in psychology, such as clinical, counselling, educational, forensic, occupational or sports psychology, and a prerequisite to becoming a Chartered Psychologist. Combining psychology and mathematics prepares students for work.

ABB-BBC courses = Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with 80% overall plus Gaokao with 75%; BCC-CCC courses = Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with 75% overall plus Gaokao with 70%; Applicants to courses with a subject specific requirement will be considered on an individual basis. OR an appropriate pre-university/ foundation year programme. IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each subtest.
