This programme is accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board and is a qualifying law degree, offering the professional exemptions you need to train to practise as a solicitor or barrister.Our programme provides a strong foundation for developing an understanding of and building towards a career in, criminal justice and related areas.On Law with Criminology, you will learn the key principles and doctrines underlying English, European and International law and develop an understanding of its social, political, historical and comparative contexts. Practical experience could be developed by participating in mooting (practising oral arguments), client interviewing, and volunteering as a Community Legal Companion as part of our innovative CLOCK programme, or in our Divorce or Commercial Law Legal Advice Clinics. You will also explore questions such as: what are the relationships between the courts and other branches of criminal justice? And how does the law influence policing, the prison system or the rehabilitation of offenders? This degree will provide students with the knowledge and current professional exemptions needed to train to become a solicitor or barrister. It will also prepare you for a wide range of other career opportunities. It will also open up a wide range of other careers including the police, probation, prison, the courts services, community safety, human rights, transnational law, social work or the civil service.We provide numerous opportunities embedded into modules and the co-curriculum for you to develop key graduate capabilities, helping to prepare you for life after university. Law modules are designed to develop the essential skills of analysis, reasoning and clear presentation of facts and legal arguments. Because the law is always changing, you will learn to develop a capacity for responding to new challenges, and this produces a flexibility and precision that will assist students when seekingemployment. 為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Students must have for Undergraduate Year 1: Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate PLUS Gaokao. ABB-BBC courses = Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with 80% overall plus Gaokao with 75%; BCC-CCC courses = Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate with 75% overall plus Gaokao with 70%; Applicants to courses with a subject specific requirement will be considered on an individual basis. OR an appropriate pre-university/ foundation year programme. IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each subtest.
