在這里學(xué)什么？ This Education Studies top up programme is designed specifically for those students interested in developing their current Level 5 qualification to a Level 6 full BA (Hons) degree. Focusing on various educational specialisms, the courses are designed with employability, enterprise and research at the fore. Students are expected to reflect throughout the programme on their current practice (voluntary or employed) whilst using theory and contemporary strategy to inform their professional pedagogy. Learning takes place in the classroom with a strong emphasis on debate, discussion and analysis of developments in the diverse world of education. Students work towards the Greenwich Graduate Attribute Criteria.The programme aims to provide you with:A broad-based platform for the study of key aspects of the academic field or discipline of Education and/or Education StudiesA focus on major concepts and current practices as a basis for understanding their application to the broad field of educationAn understanding of the importance of being able to evaluate learning and teaching in the context of the wider community and society at largeA broader understanding of the relationship between educational theory and other social scientific perspectivesDevelopment of critical analysis of, and reflection on, education as a basis for potential career developmentAn understanding of the nature and operation of social enterprise within the education sector.The majority of Education Studies students begin with the aim of becoming primary teachers; however, an additional aim of the programme is to create awareness of the wide range of education-related careers that are available to graduates that do not involve classroom practice.
