The University of Houston C. T. Bauer College of Business and the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management offer a concurrent degree program, which allows students to prepare for careers where business and hospitality management complement each other. Areas of interest may include accounting, consulting, finance, sales and marketing, human resources, and operations management. By pursuing the Master of Business Administration and Master of Science concurrently, students can complete both degrees in a shorter period of time than if they pursued each degree independently. This program allows full-time students to complete both degrees in three years.
Program Requirements & Curriculum Overview
The MBA/MS joint program requires a minimum of 63 semester credit hours. The Bauer College requires a total of 48 semester credit hours and will apply 12 hours from the Hilton College MS curriculum toward the MBA degree requirements. The Hilton College requires a total of 36 semester credit hours and will apply 9 hours from the Bauer College MBA curriculum toward the MS degree requirements.

English Language Proficiency Requirements: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) - The minimum TOEFL score required is 79 for the internet-based test. The minimum TOEFL score for the new revised paper-based exam is: Reading 20, Listening 20, and Writing 20. IELTS (International English Language Testing Service): The minimum IELTS score required is an overall score of a 6.5.
