Become an effective advocate with this program that combines social work and disabilities studies. You’ll get lots of hands-on experience in the field and have the opportunity to go on exchange and join clubs. This is a program where you can learn to make a make a difference in the world.

FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE
- Understanding, internalizing, communicating, and enacting best practices for making accommodations and modifications for persons with disabilities in real-world, context-sensitive situations
- Evaluating representations of persons with disabilities in literature and media
- Understanding psychological and social models of disability
- Developing inclusive lectures, presentations, and programs that target diverse demographics equitably while remaining sensitive to various cultural dynamics
- Assessing and appreciating the consequence of culturally constructed roles—and the perception of these roles-on individuals and broader social groups
- Critically investigating trends and phenomena in socio-cultural life and business in the context of ableism

為來自中國的學生設計 All programs require successful completion of the OSS Diploma and a minimum 70% average of six Grade 12 U or M courses, including ENG4U. English Language Requirements: A minimum score of 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); or A minimum score of 60 on the Carleton University’s Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL); or A minimum score of 60 on the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE); or A minimum overall score of 176 on the Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or the Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE); or Successful completion of the University of Windsor's English Language Improvement Program (ELIP) (level III) with a minimum final grade of 75%; or A minimum score of 85 on the English Proficiency Test administered by the English Language Institute of the University of Michigan (MELAB); or A minimum score of 220 with a T.W.E. 4.5 on the Computer-based Test, 83 with an essay score of 20 on the Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (T.O.E.F.L.).
