Affectionately known as DRED, this program has a focus on practical learning. It is one of Canada’s most unique undergraduate programs involving drama. You could develop presentations, performances and workshops around pressing social issues. Work in schools, art galleries, museums, hospitals, senior citizen residences and multicultural organizations. It’s perfect for students with an interest in using drama as a teaching tool or in community development. You can follow this up with our consecutive education program and become qualified to teach.

FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE
- Expressing oneself confidently, assertively, and purposefully in front of an audience using both verbal and nonverbal communication techniques
- Speaking persuasively and articulately to convey a variety of project goals and occasion desired reactions in audience members
- Collaborating in the production of knowledge within the studio and classroom in a participatory, active process of exchange which links both theory and practice
- Articulating the interrelationship between the various disciplines of theatre production (performance, direction, creation, management, and design)
- Becoming a full theatre practitioner, versed in practical elements of theatre production, as well as the ways of applying theatre and performance studies to life and work, supporting personal goals, contributing to the field, and benefitting the community during the program and after graduation
- Applying the basic skills and theoretical practices involved in design for the theatre
- Applying principles and elements of design to create effective solutions to design challenges

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) All programs require successful completion of the OSS Diploma and a minimum 70% average of six Grade 12 U or M courses, including ENG4U. English Language Requirements: A minimum score of 6.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); or A minimum score of 60 on the Carleton University’s Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL); or A minimum score of 60 on the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE); or A minimum overall score of 176 on the Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or the Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE); or Successful completion of the University of Windsor's English Language Improvement Program (ELIP) (level III) with a minimum final grade of 75%; or A minimum score of 85 on the English Proficiency Test administered by the English Language Institute of the University of Michigan (MELAB); or A minimum score of 220 with a T.W.E. 4.5 on the Computer-based Test, 83 with an essay score of 20 on the Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (T.O.E.F.L.).
