The year gives you the academic and technical preparation for undergraduate study in a wide range of social sciences subjects. Lectures, labs and tutorials will give you a broad understanding across subjects including economics, criminology, politics, sociology and psychology.**About this course**How do we influence one another as individuals and groups? What are the ways in which social factors affect what we do and how we think? You’ll examine these types of questions and more. Sociology explores the nature of society, human relationships and behaviour, power, identity, conflict and development. You’ll examine issues such as inequality, migration and social change, in real-world settings. Your experience will be directly relevant to growing sectors, such as think-tanks, NGOs, governmental and international organisations, and local and urban agencies.
