It enables you to take the first steps to becoming a chartered psychologist. Your studies are supported by purpose-built research laboratories and psychological analysis equipment include eye trackers, a driving simulator, EEG (recording brain activity) and specialist survey software. Topics include schizophrenia, counselling and positive psychology, autism, cyberbullying and prejudice. You’ll be able to tailor your studies to suit your interests and ambitions. There are opportunities to participate in original research projects and you’ll be supported by research-active academics.You’ll develop highly-valued skills, including critical analysis, data analysis, research, statistics and report writing. Specialised work placements will give you direct work experience – much sought-after by graduate employers.**Sandwich Year**This course has a sandwich year which takes place between Year 2 and your Final Year. During this sandwich year, you will take a placement within a relevant setting, ensuring you gain essential experience to add to your CV and help you secure a graduate job.
