在這里學什么? **Why choose this course?**– You’ll have opportunities to get involved in a huge range of activities, including poetry festivals and readings by guest authors, through our Writers’ Centre, Kingston.– You’ll learn how style and meaning are created and interpreted through spoken and written texts, and apply this knowledge to your own writing.– Many of our graduates have had their work published. Recently, Oyinkan Braithwaite’s debut novel My Sister, The Serial Killer was longlisted for the Booker Prize 2019.**About this course**This degree gives you the creative freedom to experiment with writing in a wide variety of genres and media. Choose from poetry, prose and non-fiction to professional writing, writing for performance on stage, radio and screen. Explore topics and debates in the fields of creative writing, English literature and English language. Examine how literature shapes, and is shaped by, wider social and cultural contexts.Through this course, you’ll develop oral and written communication skills and establish a solid foundation in the study of literature and language. There is a focus on developing skills in critical reading, writing and analysis.You’ll graduate with skills that employers seek, such as communication, critical thinking, organisation, intercultural awareness, team work and the ability to work independently.
