The course aims to develop confident senior practitioners who are able to undertake effective evidence-based practice within complex multidisciplinary teams. It also aims to equip practitioners with appropriate skills to treat challenging general dental cases. The programme aims are to: Enable primary dental care providers to advance their clinical skills and knowledge; Provide unbiased teaching on core skills in oral health, patient challenges to deal with complex dental cases; Create opportunities for personal and professional development; Contribute to the research base and to encourage research amongst practitioners; Promote holistic approach to patient management and care Produce safe, competent and reflective practitioners; Appraise levels of competency.
Completion of this programme will upskill dental practitioners in the dental specialism and should enhance employability and career progression within this specialist field. This part-time programme is offered as either fully online or blended learning (which involves face to face teaching and distance learning). In the blended learning variant, the students will attend residential schools in each semester of this course in the College. Please refer to the specific entry requirements for your chosen course of study as outlined in the online prospectus. We consider students who have good grades in the following: Bachelor's Degree. Normally the minimum English language entry requirement is IELTS (academic) of 6.0 (with no band score of less than 5.5).
