Course Overview
The Occupational and Organisational Psychology MSc is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) as Stage 1 training, which when accompanied by the BPS Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) will provide a basis for professional development as a practitioner in the form of Stage 2 training, as well as further study, employment and enterprise.
This employment focused course delivers a mix of theory and practice, using real-life examples to bring the subject to life and preparing you with the practical competencies for your career.
In order for a business to reach its full potential, it must have the support and commitment of its staff. Therefore, it is essential to consider the roles of the employer and employee, in order to evaluate the impact on an organisation.
A successful and ethical business places the well being of its staff at the core of its business model, with that in mind you will study the following modules as part of your master's;
employee selection and assessment workplace well being learning and development in organisations and psychological research methods.
A unique and exciting aspect of this course is that you will gain a psychometric testing qualification, the Certificate in Occupational Testing, in addition to the core curriculum. This opens up additional opportunities for you to gain certificates in occupational testing for ability and personality.

You will also get to specialise in a particular area of interest through your thesis. This can include carrying out live projects with a range of organisations including, small medium enterprises, local authorities and NHS Trusts.
