Korean - This two-year full-time (or four-year part-time) programme is designed to provide Intensive Language training at different proficiency levels - depending on entry level - within a Masters programme in Korean Studies.
It allows students:
- to cultivate or further develop a basic expertise in particular aspects of Korean Studies.
- to choose modules that meet their own needs, with respect to their interest in Korea and future career plans.
- to develop their abilities to synthesize information, to think critically, to manage a complex research project and to present their results in verbal and written form.
- to achieve a high level of language proficiency.
- to master transferable language and analytical skills in order to prepare for a variety of potential future professional or research careers.
Japanese - The two-year language pathway is directed at students with a professional and academic interest in Japan. The intensive training in Japanese language aims at supporting students’ ability to tackle their disciplinary interests by engaging with written texts and in oral communication in Japanese. Your chosen discipline is combined with intensive Japanese language over two years (including a period in Japan), making this programme unique in Europe.

為來自中國的學生設(shè)計 Students with an Upper Second Class degree (2:1) or above in their UK Bachelor degree will be considered. Students with a Bachelors degree from a university in China may be considered for entry if they have a minimum passing grade of 80% or GPA 3.3. Relevant work experience may also be considered.
