History - This is the only Master-level programme in History focusing on the study of Asia, the Middle East and Africa in the UK, and can therefore offer an unrivalled breadth of courses on the history of these regions. The programme provides a sound training in the historical sciences. It can also be taken with an intensive language pathway over two years, therefore making this programme unique in Europe. The two-year intensive language pathway is directed at students who want to engage with Asia, Africa and the Near and Middle East in a professional as well as academic way, as the intensive language course would enable them to reach a near proficient knowledge of the language.
South East Asian Language - The two-year language pathway is directed at students who want to engage with South East Asia in a professional as well as academic way, as the intensive language module would enable them to reach a good level of proficiency in one of the four languages; Burmese, Indonesian, Thai or Vietnamese. The summer between the first and second year of study is spent in the region following an intensive language module.
In the two-year pathway, students can take intensive South East Asian language with either MA South East Asian Studies, MA History, MA Religions of Asian and Africa, MA Medical Anthropology, MA Anthropological Research Methods, MA Migration and Diaspora Studies.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Students with an Upper Second Class degree (2:1) or above in their UK Bachelor degree will be considered. Students with a Bachelors degree from a university in China may be considered for entry if they have a minimum passing grade of 80% or GPA 3.3. Relevant work experience may also be considered.
