The purpose of the MA in Childhood Foreign Language Education is to provide candidates with the knowledge and skills needed to teach effectively in the dual language immersion classroom. This interdisciplinary program provides the opportunity for professional growth in the areas of linguistic and cultural proficiency, as well as teaching methodology. There is a part-time option for in-service teachers. At the conclusion of the program, State of Delaware teacher certification in a world language is an option; it requires passing the Praxis II exam in the target language (e.g., Spanish). This certification may or may not be recognized in other states.

為來自中國的學生設(shè)計 Applicants to a University of Delaware graduate program must possess (or be in the final year of completing) a U.S. equivalent bachelor’s degree. The University requires an official paper-based TOEFL score of at least 550 or at least 79 on the Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) for an applicant to be considered for admission. The University expects a minimum score of 18 on the Internet-based Speaking Test. IELTS score - 6.5.
