在這里學(xué)什么？ Chemistry is often called ‘the central science’ as it overlaps with, and makes vital contributions to, a range of sciences. Chemistry considers the behaviour and properties of matter, from the atomic level to the macro-scale, and how these affect our daily lives, from health and wellbeing to minimising environmental harm and developing new sources of energy. The Foundation Year provides a route onto a Chemistry degree if you don't have the qualifications or have not studied advanced level subjects sufficiently related to your course of choice.After successful completion of the Chemistry Foundation Year, you can progress on to one of the relevant BSc (Hons) degrees:- BSc (Hons) Chemistry- BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Chemistry- BSc (Hons) Animal Behaviour and Conservation- BSc (Hons) Biology- BSc (Hons) Microbiology and Molecular Biology- BSc (Hons) ZoologyWhichever route you take, you’ll have the skills and understanding you need to undertake further study or get started in your career. **FEATURES AND BENEFITS:**- Provides a route onto your chosen degree course if you don't meet the current entry requirements.- Foundation Years are designed to make undergraduate degrees more accessible to those who are under-represented in higher education, for example, those with non-traditional qualifications.- Has content that is tailored so that it is appropriate to your chosen degree.- Helps you to develop the study skills and academic knowledge you will need to start Year 1 of your course with confidence.- You will be eligible to apply for student finance in the same way as other undergraduates.- We recently invested over a million pounds in upgrading our synthetic chemistry and materials laboratories and installing new analytical equipment.- Our teaching is supported by a range of technological innovations including videos to support the learning of key concepts and problem-solving practice.
