Create sustainable solutions
USQ is the only providers of Agricultural Engineering degrees in both Australia and New Zealand, and has links to the world class research center – National Centre for Engineering in Agriculture. Therefore, if you want to become a Professional Engineer, and have a 3 year engineering degree but no work experience, USQ’s Master of Engineering Science (Agricultural Engineering) will get you there.
Throughout the degree there is an emphasis on practical experience and preparing you thoroughly for the engineering profession. In addition to the hands-on laboratory sessions and 60 days industry experience, you will complete a research project and dissertation applying all your formal knowledge to a real world problem. Whether this is sustainable agricultural production, the environmental impact of intensive agriculture or water allocation, your project will provide insight to the profession of an Agricultural Engineer.
The research project and dissertation can also be a stepping stone to further research degrees, such as PhD.
Professional accreditation
The Master of Engineering Science (Agricultural Engineering) has been accorded full accreditation at the level of Professional Engineer by Engineers Australia and graduates are eligible for Graduate membership at the Professional Level.
Career outcomes
As an agricultural engineer your career pathway could lead you to work in a laboratory, research station, forest or farm. You will be well-placed to research and develop solutions to conserve the world’s natural resources.

為來自中國的學生設計 Applicants must have Australian university three or four-year Bachelor degree in an approved discipline, or equivalent. English language requirements: IELTS (Academic only) score of 6.5 (or better)(no component lower than 6.0); TOEFL (paper based) score of 570 (with a minimum Test of Written English score TWE 5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) score of 230 (with an essay rating of at least 5); TOEFL (internet based) score of 90 (or better) (with 20 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 58 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 58); Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE)/ C1 Advanced or Proficiency (CPE)/C2 Proficiency with a score of 176 or above. No less than 169 in each skill.
