If you are an Engineering Technologist and have more than 5 years industry experience under your belt, then USQ’s Master of Engineering Practice (Public Works and Infrastructure) will give you the necessary program recognition to be eligible to apply for Professional Engineer registration with Engineers Australia.
Right from the beginning you will be able to use the knowledge and skills you have already gained in the workplace to complete your first year core units. Through self-assessment and workplace portfolios you will demonstrate how you may already meet Engineers Australia’s competencies and identify the technical courses you will need to complete in order to graduate.
You will build upon your prior knowledge in civil engineering with further studies in areas such as transport engineering, hydraulics and geo-technical engineering. You can customise your degree and explore public health engineering, water resource management, waste treatment, pavement design and analysis, road and street engineering, or transport networks.
Professional accreditation
Graduates with this specialisation are eligible to apply to the Institute of Public Works Engineering Queensland (IPWEQ) for Professional Engineering registration as a Public Works engineer. This specialisation is the only specialisation within the Australian tertiary sector directly named for the Institute.

為來自中國的學生設計 Applicants must have Australian university three or four-year Bachelor degree in an approved discipline, or equivalent. English language requirements: IELTS (Academic only) score of 6.5 (or better)(no component lower than 6.0); TOEFL (paper based) score of 570 (with a minimum Test of Written English score TWE 5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) score of 230 (with an essay rating of at least 5); TOEFL (internet based) score of 90 (or better) (with 20 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 58 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 58); Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE)/ C1 Advanced or Proficiency (CPE)/C2 Proficiency with a score of 176 or above. No less than 169 in each skill.
