Why Applied Computer Science?
Our Applied Computer Science major is all about giving you the skills to solve computer-related problems. With rapid advances in technology and new applications being developed constantly, it is hard to say what those problems will be. One thing is for sure, though, it is going to be exciting finding out.
The focus is on both technological and business principles and practices. Your studies will cover the fundamental skills of computer science involving the domain of modern web applications and services. You will become well-prepared to solve computer-related problems in the workplace using your expertise in the design and implementation of software systems, database structures and applications and webs services and interfaces.
Professional accreditation
Our Bachelor of Information Technology program is accredited at professional level by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and, through the Seoul Accord, is recognised in other countries.
Career outcomes
As a graduate, your career opportunities may include computer programmer, systems analyst, software developer, project leader, web application developer, web services specialist, IT manager, database administrator, and database designer.

為來自中國的學生設計 Students must have completed Senior High School Certificate with 70% or equivalent. Applications are based on comparisons with Australian Year 12 level examinations. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic only) score of 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5); TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) score of 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5); TOEFL (internet based) score of 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 50 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 50); Cambridge English: First (FCE)/ B2 First with a score of 169 or above. No less than 162 in each skill.
