This combined degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Bachelor of Information Technology will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to design, develop and implement both the hardware and software components of computer systems in today’s technological world. This combined degree will also help you to build your professional career in less time than if you were to complete two separate degrees. During this combined degree, you will develop and expand your skills through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience to help you become successful in whichever pathway you choose.
Your degree will focus on Computer Systems Engineering and Applied Computer Science studies.
Professional accreditation
A graduate of this program is eligible to apply for membership of Engineers Australia as a graduate Engineer. After further professional development, a graduate member with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) may apply for chartered status as a Professional Engineer and, when granted, may use the post-nominal MIEAust CPEng.
The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) program is accredited by Engineers Australia and, through an agreement reached between the professional engineering bodies of other countries (the Washington Accord), is also recognised in the United Kingdom, the Unites States of America, Canada, Ireland, Hong Kong, New Zealand and South Africa.
The Bachelor of Information Technology program is provisionally accredited at professional level by the Australian Computer Society and through the Seoul Accord, is recognised in other countries.
Career outcomes
As a graduate of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Bachelor of Information Technology you can expect a career as a computer programmer, software/hardware engineer, computer scientist, business analyst, systems designer, computer engineer and computer systems officer.
Some of the biggest employers of ICT graduates in Australia are international IT vendors, including Microsoft and IBM, and ICT end-users such as banks and government departments.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Students must have completed Senior High School Certificate with 70% or equivalent. Applications are based on comparisons with Australian Year 12 level examinations. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic only) score of 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5); TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) score of 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5); TOEFL (internet based) score of 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 50 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 50); Cambridge English: First (FCE)/ B2 First with a score of 169 or above. No less than 162 in each skill.
