Based on leading edge research and the combination of electrical and mechanical engineering, USQ's Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechatronic) will give you the skills and practical experience you want for a successful professional career. Study while you work, either externally or on-campus, and have the flexibility to adapt your study to your life.
Why Mechatronics?
As a graduate from USQ's Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechatronic) you will be exposed to career opportunities as a professional Mechatronics Engineer, Robotics Specialist, Control Engineer, Automation Engineer or Cross Disciplinary Engineer in the mining, Government, agriculture, health, automotive and aeronautical fields.
With USQ's relationship with the Centre for Agricultural Engineering, Mechatronic students also have a first-hand opportunity to put their skills to practice alongside the innovation of your final year research program that will allow you to apply your expertise to the field of your interests. Previous students have produced projects in the fields of using LEGO in the recovery process of stroke victims, designing a force feedback system for use in direct human to machine interfacing and obstacle detection using vision for mobile robots.
Professional accreditation
When you graduate with your Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), you will be eligible to apply for membership with Engineers Australia as a graduate Professional Engineer. With the experience you will gain from working in the field, you may apply for chartered status as a Professional Engineer. You will also have the opportunity to work overseas, with your accreditation recognized in those countries that are signatories to the Washington Accord.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Students must have completed Senior High School Certificate with 70% or equivalent. Applications are based on comparisons with Australian Year 12 level examinations. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic only) score of 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5); TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) score of 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5); TOEFL (internet based) score of 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 50 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 50); Cambridge English: First (FCE)/ B2 First with a score of 169 or above. No less than 162 in each skill.
