All businesses operate within a comprehensive, and often increasingly complex, legal framework. By specializing in Business Law in USQ’s Bachelor of Business and Commerce, you will gain an appreciation of these laws, but you will also develop the skills needed to examine the facts, analyses statutory provisions, develop arguments based on legal principles, and communicate these effectively.
If you are looking to practice law, you need to study a Bachelor of Laws. However, if you would like to strengthen your knowledge of the running of major companies and the legal framework involved with their success, you would be well-advised to include Business Law in your Bachelor of Business and Commerce, which you can do as a first or second major.
Career outcomes
As a graduate majoring in Business Law, your career opportunities may include: legal studies teacher (with further study), public service, company secretary, government departments, non-government agencies, and legal organizations.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Students must have completed Senior High School Certificate with 70% or equivalent. Applications are based on comparisons with Australian Year 12 level examinations. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic only) score of 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5); TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) score of 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5); TOEFL (internet based) score of 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 50 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 50); Cambridge English: First (FCE)/ B2 First with a score of 169 or above. No less than 162 in each skill.
