Archaeologists give us the chance to see how people lived in the past, and how they interacted with one another and the environment. Studies of the material traces of the past also help people to make important decisions about property, resources, and cultural heritage in the present day.
Within the Bachelor of Arts (Archaeology) you will learn from some of Australia's most respected archaeologists, with opportunities to get hands-on through practical archaeological training, including field methods and laboratory analysis.
Thinking of studying externally? You will experience all elements of the course – practical and theoretical - by watching filmed classes and being able to handle 3D printed bones and other specimens.
Career outcomes
This degree will equip you with the skills to work in areas such as cultural heritage, native title/cultural heritage consultancy, as well as in a wide range of public service and welfare occupations including social planning, community development, and social policy.

為來自中國的學生設計 Students must have completed Senior High School Certificate with 70% or equivalent. Applications are based on comparisons with Australian Year 12 level examinations. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic only) score of 6.0 (or better) (no component lower than 5.5); TOEFL (paper based) score of 550 (or better) (with a minimum Test of Written English Score of TWE 4.5); TOEFL (electronic or computer based) score of 213 (or better) (with essay rating of at least 4.5); TOEFL (internet based) score of 80 (or better) (with 19 minimum in all bands); Pearson (PTE Academic) score of 50 (or better) (with no communicative score less than 50); Cambridge English: First (FCE)/ B2 First with a score of 169 or above. No less than 162 in each skill.
