在這里學(xué)什么？
The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering offers graduate courses leading to the PhD, MS and ME degrees. PhD students spend the majority of their time carrying out dissertation research. Coursework requirements beyond the first semester are minimal and students typically become deeply engaged in research in their second semester. The master's degree reflects mastery of core and specialized areas of chemical/biological engineering, as well as the ability to conduct research on a well-defined problem formulated by the student's faculty advisor.
Our students build expertise in various areas of chemical engineering by applying creative and critical thinking in the context of inquiry-based curricula. Completion of these programs prepares graduates for careers in research and industrial practice. Students with strong quantitative skills are best positioned for success in our programs. Throughout their study, our students will have frequent opportunities to improve their oral and written communication skills and enrich their core technical competency while also building other skills that are highly valued in the workplace, including teamwork, lifelong learning, cultural awareness and civic engagement.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants must have a bachelor's degree (or higher) or the equivalent from an accredited/government recognized college or university. Most such degrees will be four or more years in length; UB recognizes some three-year degrees, but not all; A B-grade (GPA of 3.0) or higher from your bachelor's degree (or equivalent) courses. Grade point averages from non-U.S. universities will be evaluated by UB's Office of International Admissions. English Language Requirements: The minimum score of TOEFL IBT is 79, the minimum score TOEFL PBT is 550, the minimum score of IELTS is 6.5, the minimum score of PTE is 55, the minimum score of Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) 185, the minimum score of Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 185.
