The Department of Materials Design and Innovation, emphasizes a data driven perspective of materials discovery and design. We offer a unique program on the use of materials informatics that links experimental and computational perspectives of materials science and engineering. Academically qualified students from all fields of science and engineering are welcome to apply.
The establishment of the MDI provides a unique opportunity for faculty to be part of an economic renaissance in the Buffalo-Niagara region that will lead Western New York as a global hub for advancing research and education. 為來自中國的學生設計 Applicants must have a bachelor's degree (or higher) or the equivalent from an accredited/government recognized college or university. Most such degrees will be four or more years in length; UB recognizes some three-year degrees, but not all; A B-grade (GPA of 3.0) or higher from your bachelor's degree (or equivalent) courses. Grade point averages from non-U.S. universities will be evaluated by UB's Office of International Admissions. English Language Requirements: The minimum score of TOEFL IBT is 79, the minimum score TOEFL PBT is 550, the minimum score of IELTS is 6.5, the minimum score of PTE is 55, the minimum score of Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) 185, the minimum score of Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 185.
