Through our multidisciplinary approach, you will study:
- Environmental contamination and degradation by both human activity and natural processes
- How this contamination and degradation impacts health directly and through complex interrelationships with other living organisms and ecosystems.
As a graduate, you will be prepared for further study or for entry in the workforce in a variety of fields, including:
- Local and state health departments and other health agencies
- Private environmental health consulting companies
- Industry and advocacy organizations
As an environmental health scientist, you will explore the relationship of agents found in air, water and soil to cancer, birth defects, neurological disorders and other health conditions. As an environmental health practitioner, you will use this understanding to identify hazards in the environment, assess the risks and design interventions.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants must have a bachelor's degree (or higher) or the equivalent from an accredited/government recognized college or university. Most such degrees will be four or more years in length; UB recognizes some three-year degrees, but not all; A B-grade (GPA of 3.0) or higher from your bachelor's degree (or equivalent) courses. Grade point averages from non-U.S. universities will be evaluated by UB's Office of International Admissions. English Language Requirements: The minimum score of TOEFL IBT is 79, the minimum score TOEFL PBT is 550, the minimum score of IELTS is 6.5, the minimum score of PTE is 55, the minimum score of Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) 185, the minimum score of Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 185.
