An LLM, or "Master of Laws," is an advanced degree in law. To be eligible to apply for an LLM program, you need to have already completed a first degree in law, such as an LLB, a Licenciado, etc. The Criminal Law LLM builds on our strength in the interdisciplinary study of criminal law and the work of the Buffalo Criminal Law Center. Our Criminal Law LLM was the first of its kind in the United States and continues to be one of the only such programs. Criminal Law LLM students are advised by Professor Luis Chiesa, an internationally known criminal law scholar with extensive experience in Spain and Latin America.
The Criminal Law LL.M. Program builds on the School of Law’s strength in the interdisciplinary study of criminal law. One of the only post-professional programs in the United States devoted exclusively to the study of criminal law, this program has attracted lawyers from all over the world who intend to teach, do policy work, or work as prosecutors or judges in their home jurisdictions. They are advised by Professor Luis Chiesa, an internationally known criminal law scholar with extensive experience in Spain and Latin America.

為來自中國的學生設計 Applicants must have a bachelor's degree (or higher) or the equivalent from an accredited/government recognized college or university. Most such degrees will be four or more years in length; UB recognizes some three-year degrees, but not all; A B-grade (GPA of 3.0) or higher from your bachelor's degree (or equivalent) courses. Grade point averages from non-U.S. universities will be evaluated by UB's Office of International Admissions. English Language Requirements: The minimum score of TOEFL IBT is 79, the minimum score TOEFL PBT is 550, the minimum score of IELTS is 6.5, the minimum score of PTE is 55, the minimum score of Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) 185, the minimum score of Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 185.
