Programs in early childhood and childhood education deal with children from preschool up to the middle school years. The programs in early childhood or childhood education are also available with a bilingual extension/specialization. The initial professional program in early childhood education is designed specifically for graduate students without an undergraduate degree in education, who wish to teach at the early childhood or childhood levels. This program enables those who have majored in approved humanities, social sciences or sciences to pursue a master's degree, and to satisfy birth through grade six certification requirements.
Our master's program in early childhood/childhood education prepares you to teach children from birth through middle school. You may choose to focus on early childhood (birth–grade 2), childhood (grades 1–6), or a mix, or study a specific childhood curriculum field, such as literacy or mathematics. This program in early childhood/childhood education is available with a bilingual extension/specialization.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Applicants must have a bachelor's degree (or higher) or the equivalent from an accredited/government recognized college or university. Most such degrees will be four or more years in length; UB recognizes some three-year degrees, but not all; A B-grade (GPA of 3.0) or higher from your bachelor's degree (or equivalent) courses. Grade point averages from non-U.S. universities will be evaluated by UB's Office of International Admissions. English Language Requirements: The minimum score of TOEFL IBT is 79, the minimum score TOEFL PBT is 550, the minimum score of IELTS is 6.5, the minimum score of PTE is 55, the minimum score of Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE) 185, the minimum score of Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 185.
