On this course, you can choose from our broad range of corporate and commercial law modules which deal with issues relevant to the highly complex and dynamic corporate and commercial worlds. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of core issues relating to corporate law and corporate governance, and in intellectual property law. You'll focus on the structure and development of company law both in the United Kingdom and in an international context. You will also learn about the radical re-shaping of company law in the United Kingdom in 2006. This has impacted on the reform of corporate law in the Commonwealth countries and other jurisdictions, which have modelled their corporate regimes on UK law.
Corporate governance teaches you about the distribution of power within key company constituencies, methods of regulating governance, governance systems across the world, auditors and internal control, and the meaning and importance of good governance with references to stakeholder theory and environmental sustainability. The course has a highly flexible structure so that you can tailor your learning to suit your interests and career goals.
Careers:
This LLM degree offers the knowledge and skills for graduates who are keen to enter the competitive world of commercial and corporate law practice. You could work in a law firm specialising in commercial and corporate work, or join the legal team of a global corporation. If you don't want to pursue a legal career, you can work in corporate and commercial sectors. You will graduate with all the necessary legal knowledge and problem-solving skills that are required to practise in the wider corporate and commercial business sector including accounting. You can also pursue a PhD in commercial and corporate law.

為來自中國的學生設計 Students with a Bachelor degree with an overall average grade of 75% or above from a recognised university will be considered and borderline cases if the student has a relevant degree and good grades in relevant subjects and/or relevant work experience of at least 5 years will also be considered. IELTS score of 6.5 overall, including at least 6.0 in writing and 6.0/5.5 in the other three components.
