This master’s degree will equip you with cutting-edge knowledge and skills required to develop a career in international business and undertake business across national boundaries.
Who is it for?
You’re looking to forge a career in international business and have a specific interest to gain deeper knowledge in international business disciplines such as international strategy, international marketing or finance or accounting. You’ll be looking to gain relevant skills required when managing in an international setting such as cross cultural management, leadership in different international contexts and ethical considerations in business with respect to the society and the environment.
The MSc in International Business will prepare you for functional or operational roles such as international product manager, project manager, business development manager, account manager or finance/accounting, marketing and strategy roles in any global setting.
Objectives:
This course provides top-level academic theory and professionally relevant education for students with a desire to break into a valuable career in international business. The curriculum is built to enable you to face the challenges of a complex global and interconnected world. Differences between countries and their markets have remained a major stumbling block for employees and managers venturing abroad. Success abroad requires tools to reduce this key threat and our curriculum will provide you with these tools.
You’ll study the foundations of international business and management and you’ll also have an opportunity to apply learning through a compulsory project and a choice of specialist electives from the Cass master’s portfolio. The project will have a mandatory international focus which you’ll independently plan, initiate and successfully conduct. The project is intended to enable you to develop key leadership qualities, competencies and skills.

Our London location offers uniquely close links to international businesses – providing you with access to industry practitioners and guest speakers from the City.
Structure:
- Develop a strong grasp of international business principles and how they are applied across different international business contexts
- Develop a specialised understanding of international business management in a variety of industries and business settings such as multinational companies, SMEs or emerging markets
- Develop a wide range of skills (including cross cultural management) required to function effectively when doing business across borders
- Be able to gauge and judge the potential impact of relevant global influences and drivers and technology changes to international business practices
- Develop your own global network of peers and professionals through the Cass facilitated special blend of academic and experiential learning
- Seize the opportunity to develop your own specialisation in an international business discipline.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants will be considered for most postgraduate courses with a good Chinese bachelor’s degree from a recognised University. Students who don’t meet the requirements for direct entry may opt to undertake a graduate preparation programme. Students successfully completing INTO City’s Graduate Diploma or Kaplan International College London’s Pre-Master’s Course at the required level will have guaranteed entry into City’s postgraduate degrees. English language requirements will vary from course to course and the information on this page is only intended to be a general guide.
