Students who choose the BSIB program have an opportunity to learn how a globalized economy impacts their business study area and acquire skills and knowledge needed to work across national cultures and differing business practices, both virtually and face-to-face. Students choose a business concentration—finance, marketing, accounting, entrepreneurship, supply chain management, management information systems, healthcare management, and marketing analytics, among others. BSIB students also can minor in other Northeastern University colleges, such as international affairs, economics, global fashion design, and data science, among others. Upon graduation, BSIB students are ready to work for a home-country company that operates internationally. They also are prepared to work overseas on an international assignment.
By graduation, BSIB students will have studied in one or more foreign countries and will have gained work experience at home and abroad through two or more cooperative education work assignments (co-op).
This program offers students the opportunity to graduate in five years with a BSIB degree and a Master of Science in International Management (MIM), Finance (MSF), or Accounting (MSA) by taking advantage of the BSIB PlusOne program. The PlusOne program involves earning graduate credits toward the undergraduate degree in the senior year and supplementing these with one semester of graduate courses.
The BSIB can be completed in four or five years, depending on the program of study students design.
